A FIRE which badly damaged a hatchback car in Warrington last night is being treated as arson.
Police are investigating the incident in Forest Way, Sankey Bridge, at around 7.30pm.
Firefighters, one wearing breathing apparatus, tackled the blaze with two hose reel jets.
In another incident, shortly before 9pm smoke was reported coming from a flat in Deanwater Close, Birchwood.
This was caused by clothes drying on an electrical appliance and firefighters used a high pressure fan to clear smoke from the premises.
