CAR thieves have been active in Warrington overnight – with police receiving reports of vehicles being broken into in various parts of the town.
But in one incident, two male thieves were put to flight when they were disturbed in Carlingford Road, Stockton Heath at 3.19am.
Other thefts were in Poachers Lane, Latchford, Northway, Longford and Thelwall New Road, Latchford.
Police appealed to members of the public to ensure cars are left locked and secure – and with no valuables on show.
Other reports during the night were of damage to property in Station Road, Padgate, and Fairbrother Crescent, Orford
