POLICE have issued a CCTV image of a man suspected to have been involved in an attempt to snatch a woman’s handbag at Warrington.
The incident was yesterday (Wednesday) near the pedestrian crossing over Sankey Way on Hood Lane South.
A woman was walking alone near the crossing when a man – believed to be pictured – attempted to snatch her bag.
He failed and ran off – leaving the woman badly shaken.
The offender is described as about 5ft 7inches, of average build, with short brown hair and in his early 20s.
He made off across Sankey Way towards Hood Manor.
