Councillor Morgan Tarr (Lab – Orford) has welcomed the news that work will begin on the 16th January for the £181,000 regeneration of Brickfield Park.

“I’m delighted that work will begin shortly on the regeneration of Brickfield Park as it will provide a massive boost to the area,” said Cllr Tarr.

“When I was elected in May I was keen for the project to be completed as soon as possible and I’m very pleased that work will begin next week.

“Many residents have spoken to me about Brickfield Park and the importance of it to families and the local community.

“The equipment in the younger children’s play area will be replaced and a new older children’s play area will be created, alongside an outdoor gym and a dog exercise area. Existing furniture within the park will also be repainted.

“Throughout Orford we have many green spaces and it is vital that we continue to invest in these areas.”
