Car ablaze on motorway

FIRE crews from Warrington and Birchwood were called to the M56 this morning when a car caught fire.
The incident was on the eastbound carriageway between junctions six and seven, shortly after 8am. The vehicle was well alight and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
There were no reports of casualties.
