Warning over “dodgy” televisions sold from van

1

TRADING standards chiefs at Warrington have issued a warning about “dodgy” televisions sets being sold from a van.
They have received reports of two men approaching members of the public offering to sell “javascript” televisions.
They are said to have admitted the TVs had “fallen off the back of a wagon.”
The men are said to be in their 30s. One is dark haired with a scar on his face and the other has ginger hair and a beard.
A police spokesman said: “We would advise residents never to by a television from anyone in this way.
“The products may be stolen and previous experience indicates that they will almost certainly be broken.”

  1. Beats me why anyone would buy a TV of two unknown men in a van let alone from ones who admit they have ‘fallen of a wagon’. Surely people are not that stupid considering all the warnings over the years…… of course it’s a con….what do people expect 🙁
