IDIOT !! He should get banned for life and named and shamed too and the same goes for anyone else who drinks and drives. He could have killed someone through his selfish stupidity.
I’m just glad he hit my van and not a car with a family in it
Rather than citing the influence of alcohol as mitigation for drink drive offences it is time the law was changed so that drink drivers incur harsher, not lesser, sentences.

Thanks Paul, read similar article in Times on “over 8000 caught drink driving twice in 5 years.” Not advocating a resurgence of the temperance movement, but collectively we need to reassess society’s attitude to alcohol not just on the roads but on the pavements and streets as well.
