Drink driver involved in crash was more than three times limit

A motorist involved in a road traffic collision on  Winwick Road, Warrington, last night, was found to be more than three times the drink driving limit.

The male became violent with officers after providing a roadside breath test of of 126, the legal limit is 35 and had to be restrained.

Officers had been called to a road traffic collision involving two cars on Winwick Road.

  1. IDIOT !! He should get banned for life and named and shamed too and the same goes for anyone else who drinks and drives. He could have killed someone through his selfish stupidity.

  2. Rather than citing the influence of alcohol as mitigation for drink drive offences it is time the law was changed so that drink drivers incur harsher, not lesser, sentences.
