Two arrested after town centre fight

TWO men have been arrested following alcohol related disorder in the town centre involving a fight betwen several males.

The fight broke out on Horsemarket Street yesterday evening.

One male was arrested for an allegation of assault and resisting arrest – as well as attempted criminal damage following attempts to kick out the windows of the police car.

A second male was arrested for affray and resisting arrest following a brief foot chase through the Cockhedge Centre.

In another incident a male was arrested on Sankey Street following an allegation he had been verbally abusing members of the public.
