A FUNDRAISING “chairman’s dinner” at Culcheth’s Village Club was so successful it could become an annual event.
That’s the view of club chairman Paul Campbell, who hosted the occasion.
He said: “A great night was had by all.
“Funds raised on the night were donated to the upkeep of the club.
“I want to thank everyone who came on the night and those who, although they could not make the evening’s event, nevertheless made a personal donation.
“The Village Club, which is open to everyone in the community, and rents the premises from the Royal British Legion is going from strength to strength.
“The club supports a wide spectrum from local community organisations to people making use of the premises for family functions lunches and dinners. Such a good time was had by all and I can see the Chairman’s Dinner becoming an annual event.”
