Man arrested for assaulting hospital staff

A 31-year-old man was arrested at Warrington Hospital last night for assaulting a member of staff.
Police and the hospital have a “zero tolerance” policy in respect of violence towards hospital staff.
It was a busy night generally for police in the town centre.
A 24-year-old man was arrested at the bus station for criminal damage and police assault.
In Bridge Street, a 30-year-old man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly after attempting to head butt a police officer.
A man was arrested in the Fairfield and Howley area for possession of cannabis and domestic assault and a 21-year-old woman was arrested at Padgate for wasting police time.
Meanwhile, police issued a warning to residents in the Appleton area following a number of burglaries, including two in Delphfields Road. Anyone with information about suspicious activity in the area is asked to call police on 101.
Officers were also out and about in the Stockton Heath and Lymm areas conducting licensing checks – accompanied by drugs dog Rufus.
