A man has been arrested and charged with indecency offences in Warrington town centre following a public appeal by police using CCTV images.

Police were able to make the arrest following the release of still images which resulted in information from a member of the public being passed to them.

The male has been charged with one offence of Exposure, one of the Common Law Offence of Outraging Public Decency and also one offence of breaching the conditions of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. He has been denied bail and remanded in custody to be put before the courts later this morning (November 25).

A police spokerperson said: “We wish to thank the public for their assistance in this matter. We also wish to draw attention to the professionalism of individuals working in the town centre who have provided us with the CCTV evidence we needed in order to make an arrest.”
