Overturned lorry on M6 causing lengthy delays

CHESHIRE Police are urging motorists to avoid the M6 Northbound due to an overturned lorry near junction 19 at Tabley.

Emergency services are currently at the scene of an incident on the M6 near Tabley, with normal traffic conditions not expected until around 12 noon.

Police received reports of an overturned lorry around Junction 19 on the northbound carriageway just before 1am this morning.

The road has a full closure in place, just past the exit of Junction 19 on the northbound carriageway.

Motorists are being diverted off at junction 19 via the exit slip road. They are able to rejoin the carriageway via the Junction 19 entry slip road past the incident.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible, as there is heavy congestion and long delays – diversions are in place to manage traffic.

There are not believed to be any serious injuries to the driver.
