POLICE are warning retailers in Warrington town centre to be on their guard against fake £20 notes.
Police have received reports of a male and female allegedly trying to pass fraudulent £20 notes in the Warrington area today – in particular in the town centre – enquiries are ongoing.
Retailers are warned to alert staff to check carefully any £20 notes that are presented – especially for small purchases.
