New access planned for fitness club

PLANS for a new access at the DW Sports Fitness club in Warrington are to be put to the borough council’s development management committee.
The scheme involves closing the existing access from Bank Street and creating a new, gated access from Academy Way.
There will also be alteration to the car parking arrangements to ensure there is no reduction in parking provision.
The changes are to avoid potential conflict between vehicles and pedestrians arising from construction of the new multi-storey car park to serve the Bridge Street re-development scheme.
Planners say the changes will be beneficial to the Bridge Street scheme.
Neighbouring property owners have been consulted and no objections have been received.
