FIREFIGHTERS from Birchwood tackled a large grass fire at Culcheth, Warrington.
They used a hose reel to tackle the blaze on Holcroft Lane at 16.27 yesterday and also used drag rakes to pull apart woodland in order to fully tackle the fire beneath.
Meanwhile earlier the same day they tackled a small fire at nearby Warrington Road which was causing a nuisance on open land and used one hose reel to extinguish it.
