WARRINGTON police are appealing for help following the theft of a Black Pro Rider mobility scooter worth £1000, from a vulnerable member of the public.

The scooter is identical to the one pictured  and was stolen from a shed in the Warrington area between 2300hrs on 5th November and 8am of 6th November.

The theft has taken away the independence of the victim who can no longer go outside until he saves enough money to buy another which is likely going to be into the new year.

Appealing for help locating the scooter, investigating officer PC Karl Dickin said: “Please keep your eyes peeled and let us know if you see one about, the stolen scooter has a unique reference Q438CFG which should be located somewhere on the bodywork.

“The scooter has no keys as the owner had them both on his person, therefore potentially someone may try and get some cut.”

The Crime Reference is 0716345392 – call 101 if you can help or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
