Police warning after burglars steal Christmas cash

POLICE are investigating a burglary at Penketh, Warrington, involving the theft of cash a couple were saving to buy Christmas presents for their grand children.

The burglary took place on Walsingham Road, on November 3rd between 10:00 – 11:30.

It is the third burglary in this locality in the last two weeks; all offences have been committed in the daytime and on each occasion cash was stolen.

Police are urging all homeowners be vigilant, ensure they put their burglar alarms on when going out and to report any people in the area whom they feel are out of place or behaving suspiciously.

Anybody who may have information about this crime can contact the Proactive CID on 101 quoting Incident number 834 of the 3rd November.
