Fireworks light up Warrington

VIDEO: FIREWORK displays across Warrington lit up the town on a fine dry night.

Despite being on the cold side, the weather was perfect for the various organised displays taking place at a variety of venues across the town, including Lymm Rugby Club, Broomfields Primary School at Appleton, Thelwall Primary School and Appleton Thorn Primary School.

warrington-worldwide captured the display at Broomfields Primary School, where there were also various fairground attractions.

  1. Great video and looks like it was a fab display.
I just wish that they would BAN the really loud bangs that some fireworks have. There is just no need for it and the noise can be absolutely petrifying for animals and for some people too especially those suffering from PTSD.
It’s not like it’s just for one night either, it can go on for weeks then come Christmas time and New Year it all starts again.

  2. I agree. There’s just no need for those loud bangs. I also think there should be regulations on dates on which fireworks can be used such as 1 week for bonfire night and 1 week at Christmas and New Year. At any other times, such as summer festivals a special licence should be needed and warnings circulated in advance to people living in areas which will be affected. I’d prefer a ban on individual use and to have organised displays only, or at the least strict controls on which type of fireworks individuals can use, such as no bangs etc. so that the display is limited to the individuals’ own gardens and disturbs no-one else.
