WARRINGTON’S Santa Dash will take place in the town centre for the first time when it is staged by leisure and lifestyle provider LiveWire on Saturday December 10.

Inspired by the success of last year’s first-ever event at Orford Jubileee Neighbourhood Hub, this year’s dash will take place in Bank Park.

Hundreds of children and adults are expected to don Santa suits and race around the park.

The race is open to all abilities with Santas completing the course by running, walking, dancing, dashing or prancing.

Any Santa who completes the one mile course will receive a medal to mark their achievement.

Those taking part will be encouraged to raise money for a charity of their choice.

Louise Shannon, health engagement officer at LiveWire, said: “This is a fantastic fun festive event which caters for all ages and fitness abilities and is set to help get Warrington residents into the Christmas spirit.”

Registration for the LiveWire Santa Dash is now open. The price includes costume and medal: Adults £7, Children (5 – 14 years) £5. Under 3s £3 (medal only) or they can take part for free if no medal is required.

Entry is open online at www.livewirewarrington.co.uk/christmas
