Knife man hunted after shop robbery

A MASKED man wielding a knife is being hunted by police at Warrington after robbing a shop in the town.
The offender struck at the Best One Shop in Central Avenue brandishing a large knife and demanded the till was open.
He then fled the scene with a quantity of cash.
The raid was at 5.40pm on Sunday, October 30 but police released details only today as part of an appeal for witnesses.
The offender is described as around 6 ft 2 ins tall and of medium build.
His face was masked by a blue scarf and he was wearing a zip up navy blue hoodie and black joggers. The knife was described as having an  eight inch blade with a black handle.
PC Lee Ellis said: “While the staff member was left shocked by the ordeal, thankfully she wasn’t harmed. We have been carrying out enquiries in the area and are checking CCTV. I would urge anyone who has any information to contact police.”
