Mayor starts search for Warrington’s Got Talent

WARRINGTON’S Mayor Cllr Faisal Rashid, has begun a new search for the town’s  most talented individuals.

Cllr Rashid is being joined by local street dance crew Evolve at the Town Hall for the launch of Warrington’s Got Talent 2016 at th etown hall today (Tuesday) at 4pm. They will showcase their talents with a special performance, before the Mayor officially declares the talent hunt under way.

The competition is open to anyone of any age with absolutely any talent – from fire eaters to acrobats, from dancers to divas, and from impressionists to animal acts.

People can enter by uploading their video and completing an online entry form at www.warrington.gov.uk/mayor.

Up for grabs – a place in the final at Parr Hall on 24 February 2017 – and the chance to perform in front of the Mayor and team of ‘surprise’ judges. All the shortlisted acts will take part in the grand finale show, with 50 per cent of the vote being carried by the audience and 50 per cent carried by the judging panel.

Cllr Rashid said: “Warrington has so many talented people, and this is the perfect opportunity to showcase, far and wide, everything we have to offer.

“We’re on the lookout for incredible, inspiring and entertaining acts. If you’ve got a talent that you think will wow the judges, then we want to see it.”
