BELONG Warrington’s Lisa McLaughlin has been shortlisted for a National Care Award.

Lisa is known across the care village on Loushers Lane for her enthusiasm and dedication to providing a diverse and inclusive programme of events and activities tailored to the needs and interests of individual people.

She is up for the “Care Activities Co-ordinator Award” at the National Care Awards and the Great North West Care Awards, designed to celebrate the very best people in the social care sector.

Belong Warrington General Manager, Janine Curwell said: “All staff members at Belong Warrington work tirelessly to ensure that the best care possible is provided to our customers, and I am delighted that Lisa’s hard work has been recognised by being shortlisted for these awards.

“She provides great friendship and purpose to the lives of residents and practical and emotional support to their families.

“I wish her the very best of luck in the next stages of these competitions!”

Lisa’s inspirational approach has helped inspire the full staff team to engage customers in meaningful occupation using a range of techniques. She takes time to enhance her understanding of dementia by reading widely on the subject, alongside formal training.
