WITH no first team action attention switched to Lymm seconds who were taking on a strong Fylde side in the Brooke Edgley Specialist Technical Services cup.

With the very strong Fylde side, containing players with National League One experience, Lymm battled hard for 40 minutes scoring an excellent try from Reece Forrest and defending tenaciously.

However with injuries to Peter Millachip and John Long, the superior fitness and strength of Fylde eventually told winning 86-5. Lymm never gave up with Jake Ashall and James Lewis leading from the front and a special thanks must go to 50 year old Ade who came on as a replacement.

Lymm firsts are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Hull RUFC while the seconds are at home to Waterloo.

Squad: J Reynolds, R Forrest, J Ashall, J Lewis, N Johnstone, W Titherington, M Gill, P Millachip, J Long, J Widdrington, A Halford, B Wass, M Hill, J Watson, O Thornton. Replacements, J Cartwright, Ade
