Fire crews tackle blaze in park

FIRE crews were called to parkland at Warrington last night after a fire was discovered involving pallets, plastic road barriers and wood.
The blaze was off Bridgewater Avenue, Westy and firefighters from Birchwood used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and dampen down the surround area.
Cause of the outbreak has not been revealed.
Earlier, firefighters from Stockton Heath went to Lakeside Road, Lymm, where a van was on fire. One firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a hose reel jet. An electrical fault is believed to have been responsible.
