STAFF from Warrington-based procurement specialists Inprova Group took to the golf course to help raise money for charity.
They teed off at Warrington Golf Club in support of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace – the charity set up in the wake of the Warrington bombings in 1993.
Four teams from Inprova took part in the tournament.
Wendy Parry, mother of 12-year old Tim Parry who was killed in the bombing, and a founder of the organisation, said: “All the funds raised from this event will be helping to keep the doors of the Peace Centre open so the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation can continue to work with UK victims of global terrorism, young people and communities around the Northwest.”
Paul Kennedy, chief executive of Inprova Group, said: “As a local business we were shaken by the Warrington bomb and are filled with admiration for the fantastic work that the Foundation for Peace does to show the world that violence is not the answer to conflict. We are delighted to support this event and to help the charity to continue its important peace mission.”
