Hunt continues for knifeman who threatened schoolboy

POLICE are continuing the hunt for a knifeman who threatened a 13-year-old schoolboy at Appleton at around 8.30am yesterday morning.

As reported on warrington-worldwide yesterday, the pupil was walking to school on Monday morning around 08:30am, along Cann Lane South, when he was allegedly approached by a male in his 30’s, who did not say anything, but blocked the young boys path, and then pulled a knife from his pocket.

He made no verbal threats and did not say anything, and on seeing the knife, the boy turned and ran away.

The male suspect is described as a white male, in his 30’s, with short dark hair, clean shaven, wrinkles under his eyes, wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and black gloves.

The matter is currently being investigated, the school have been updated and we have increased patrols in the area, but if any members of public have any further information in relation to this incident, then please call 101 and quote incident 148 of 03/10/16.
