THIS October marks the 20th anniversary of Warrington Rotary Club’s annual Oktoberfest Beer Festival.

Oktoberfest 20, starts 13th October for three days until 15th October at the Parr Hall, Palmyra Square, Warrington.

Over 70 cask ales plus ciders and bottled beers from both the UK and world wide will be on sale to raise much needed funds for a number of charities.

For this year’s celebration there will be a special Prosecco Bar to add some fizz to the occasion.

There will be live music at each session and No Stamp Required, well known to festival goers over the years, will be performing on the Saturday evening.

Up to the present date over £250,000 has been raised for both local and international charities from previous Oktoberfest beer festivals.

This year’s supported charities comprise, Mercy Ships, St Joseph’s Family Centre, St Rocco’s Hospice, Music in Hospitals, Cody's Productions, The Canal Boat Adventure Project and Rowley Projects.

Warrington Rotary President, Irene Russell commented, “This year, our twentieth, should be another bumper year for our charities with interest being shown by people from all over the northwest and further afield.

“To help us celebrate and to help those who need it most we are inviting more people than ever to sponsor our beers. If individuals, groups or companies would like to join in and offer a sponsorship we would only be too pleased.”
