Two arrested following reports of suspicious activity at Winwick

TWO males have been arrested following reports of suspicious activity in the Winwick area of Warrington during the early hours of this morning.

Police responded to reports of suspicious persons in the Myddleton Lane area of Winwick, where two males were later found and arrested for theft from a motor vehicle, after they were found to be in possession of stolen items from nearby cars.

Further enquiries found that the two males had gained access to a nearby property and were also arrested for Burglary.

A vehicle was located nearby which was linked to the males and was used to store the stolen items while they targeted other vehicles and properties. Their vehicle has been seized for being used in crime.
