Jim’s 70-mile tribute to his niece raises £2,000

A LYMM man completed a 70-mile ultra marathon on the Sandstone Way North, in Northumbria in memory of his niece.
Jim Kerry, aged 37, a member of Lymm Runners, has raised almost £2,000 for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where his niece, Annabelle, died, aged just five days, of Patau’s Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, in April.
He set himself a target of £1,000 but had made that by the morning of the race.
Since then more than £850 more has come in – and donations are still being accepted.
Jim completed the race in 19.75 hours.
A former pupil at Ravenbank Primary School and Lymm High School, Jim is a keen runner and completed the Manchester Marathon a few years ago.
