EXTENSIVE damage was caused in the kitchen of a house at Lymm this afternoon.
Fire engines from Warrington and Stockton Heath were sent to the scene in Barsbank Lane shortly after 1pm and found a well developed fire in the kitchen.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a covering jet to extinguish the
blaze and prevent flames from spreading to other parts of the building.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
Police were also called to the scene and a forensic investigation is under way.
