PLANS for security fencing at a Warrington primary school are going before the borough council’s development management committee tonight.
The 2.4m high paladin fencing and associated gates would to the front and side of Callands Primary School, Callands Road, Westbrook and are being sought to secure the site and associated car parking area.
Part of the school boundary already has a low wall with railings on top but the proposed new fencing would be installed to the front of existing boundary treatments to prevent the existing wall being used as a climbing aid.
The school is situated within a mixed use area with a public house, community building housing a Sure Start Centre,  houses and a residential care home nearby.
