Woman, 70, is victim of sneak burglary

AN elderly woman at Warrington has lost her handbag and cash as a result of a sneak burglary by two men.
The offence was committed around 8.30pm last night at an address in Kintore Drive, Great Sankey when the woman, in her 70s, discovered two men in her home.
They told her there had been an explosion two doors away and she needed to check her water.
They ran the taps in her kitchen and told her to empty her cupboards. While she was doing this, they stole her handbag and a quantity of cash.
One of the offenders was tall, aged 25-30, gaunt looking and had fair hair.
He wore all navy clothing, navy trainers with a white sole and a zip up jacket.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101
quoting crime reference number CC16243068.
In another “sneak” burglary in Pasture Lane, Longbarn, an offender gained access through an open back door and stole a wallet and cash, an I-Pad Air and an Acer laptop. A quantity of Rupees and Iranian Rials were also stolen
