Gardening group gets potholes filled in

A NOT-for-profit gardening group at Warrington has been able to improve the condition of its allotment access drives after successfully applying to a charity for help.
Battery Lane Allotment Association, at Woolston, sought help from charity scheme Our Space Your Place, run by David Wilson Homes.
The housebuilder also stepped in to fill pot-holes in the drives.
Andrew Taylor, Our Space Your Place project co-ordinator said: “The Battery Lane Allotment Association works hard to offer great space
for gardeners of all abilities, including the disabled, so we were only too happy to step in and help improve access to the site for the many local people who use it.”
Shirley Edwards, who helps to run the Battery Lane Allotment Association, said: “This work will provide a tangible benefit for the site users and make the allotments look even better than they already do.”
