DAVID Griffiths, a Director at Kingsland Grange based company Sharples Group, has graduated from Middlesex University with an MSc in Leading Transformational Sales.

The Toshiba Masters Degree was devised after global research highlighted the fact that only 10% of sales people understand what the client really wants.

David, 46, joined the company at the age of 19 and successfully completed a multi-million buy-out with fellow Director Mark Brocklehurst in 2005.

He said: “Education, training and people development are recognised as the most effective way of producing sustainable results in business and the Toshiba Master’s Degree Programme is a great example of a transformational education initiative.

“Adopting a Sales leader mind-set, I have analysed leadership styles and how we behave as a business.

“Working through the seven modules of the programme has certainly influenced the successful Sharples Group company ethos of ‘Principle before Profit’.”

The Masters, which recognizes David as a professional in Sales Directorship, gives credibility to the Sales profession and aims to put it on a par with Accountancy and Marketing.
