Lymm Festival looking for new team members

THE annual Lymm Summer Festival has once again been a great success but to ensure it continues to be successful, new people are needed to join the committee.

There are two main roles they need to fill as soon as possible which will both be supported by the current committee members and a large pool of volunteers.

Firstly they are looking for someone to head up the organisation of the events themselves.

Ideally they will already have some knowledge of dealing with performers, artistes and agents as well as an appreciation of sound and lighting people who may be needed to stage the acts.

As they will head up a team of helpers, they should be a good team player and appreciate the overall workings of the Festival as a charity.

Secondly, they are looking for someone to lead the marketing and publicity activity for the Festival.
Various methods of connecting with people including website, social media, local press and publications as well as the Event Guide and supporting posters and flyers.

There are a number of people who contribute to this activity already but they need a person to connect it all up.

As well as these two key roles, there are openings on the committee for people to help with other activities.

Festival Chairman Ian Marks said: “We are all volunteers and are proud of the reputation that the Festival has built up over the years.”
