PEOPLE in Warrington are being given the chance to get fit and give a boost to charity at the same time.
They are being asked to help LiveWire reach one million reps of squats, press-ups, and burpees by National Fitness Day on September 7.
LiveWire is asking participants to complete their reps in their gyms and fitness classes.
In addition to this, both members and non-members can participate by submitting short 30 rep videos to LiveWire via social media, and nominating friends to join the rep challenge.
The epic challenge will raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice who provide specialist care and support across Warrington, helping those who are coping with life-limiting illnesses.
Sports dealer Decathlon Warrington has agreed to donate a further £400 if the one million target is achieved.
The 37 day challenge will culminate in a National Fitness Day Repathon, 6pm to 9pm at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
National Fitness Day is one day in the year of mass participation and celebration of all things physical activity running all over the UK with activities and events at your local leisure centre, gyms and health clubs.
This is the second year that LiveWire have celebrated National Fitness Day with a mass participation challenge. Last year saw fitness fanatics take on The Halliwell Jones wolf crawl challenge.
LiveWire is asking local people to help them cross the finishing line by go to the repathon and complete one or 100 reps.
Participants are asked to check out the dedicated fundraising link where they can register to start fundraising, and also check on the collective total raised so far at www.everydayhero.co.uk/event/millionrepchallenge
