Winwick Primary School’s garden

FOUR Warrington schools who entered gardens in the RHS Tatton Show have been congratulated by the borough council.
Croft Primary School and Winwick Primary School entered musical-themed gardens – and Croft’s entry was highly commended by the judges while Winwick’s was commended.
Evelyn Street Primary and Burtonwood Primary also took part in the show and their entries were much admired.
Croft’s garden was inspired by “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and was created by their after-school gardening clubs. They included a child-catcher’s van and “toot suites”.
Winwick’s garden, named “Food Glorious Food” and inspired by “Oliver” was designed and built by the children in the school’s gardening club.
Cllr Jean Carter, the borough council’s lead member for children’s services, said: “I would like to congratulate all the children and staff who took part.
“The children showed great imagination and worked very hard to achieve fantastic results.”
