COUNCIL worker Christopher Ball is running 74 miles in memory of his dad to raise awareness of the Ms Society Warrington.

Chris, who is a Neighbourhood Worker at Orford Community Hub, will start his run in Llandudno on Saturday August 13 at 8pm and is due to arrive at Orford Park around noon the following day.

His dad, Derick, passed away in December 2014 having previously been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Chris said: “Last year I set myself a challenge to run 73 miles in order to commemorate my dad’s birthday and to help raise awareness of the Ms Society in Warrington who supported my family through some of the hardest times and where there for my family when my dad passed away.

“This year my dad would have been 74 and I want to carry on celebrating his life whilst helping others who find themselves in the same position as he did.”

Chris’s son Jason will be supporting him on bike, as well as friends and family along the route.
