DRIVERS are being advised to try and avoid Warrington town centre because of severe congestion caused by a large digger exiting Crosfields’ works.
The A5061 Liverpool Rd is blocked in both directions and this has created queues back over Bridge Foot and along Wilderspool Causeway and Chester Road as well as severe congestion on Sankey Way.
It is not clear how long the problem will continue.
Drivers advised to avoid town centre because of gridlock
