FROM robots and dinosaurs to virtual worlds and lasers there was a chance to experience the wonders of UK science at Daresbury Laboratory’s free public open day which attracted 7,500 visitors!
Daresbury Laboratory is a world-leading science campus with facilities which have helped discover graphene, contributed to three Noble Prize winning discoveries and accomplished so much more.
With over 70 activities, there was something for everyone including shooting lasers at balloons, touring behind the scenes of real particles accelerators, freezing time Matrix style with a 360 degree angle film camera, building a launch rocket, and getting to talk to scientists and engineers about their work.
