House planned for a cottage garden

PLANS for a single dwelling in the rear garden of a semi-detached cottage have been submitted to Warrington’s development management committee.
The development involves land in an established residential area in Warrington Road Culcheth, although vehicle access to the site would be off Fowley Common Lane.
Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council has objected to the scheme and three neighbours have also lodged objections. Planning officers are recommending the plan be refused.
The parish council says it would be an inappropriate development in the Green Belt and that its height, design and position would not fit in with the street scene.
They believe the development would impact on the amenity of neighbours, that there is inadequate road parking detrimental to highway safety.
Planning officers say the development would have an adverse effect on highway safety due to inadequate visibility splays.
