SCARECROWS based on the Lewis Carroll classic Alice in Wonderland took centre stage at Stockton Heath Festival which was rounded off by a set of classic hits by Abba’s Angels.
The scarecrow characters including Alice, the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter, have been created by local traders and attracted great interest from members of the public who were voting for their favourite.
Special guest at the event, which continues today (Sunday) was Mayor of Warrington Faisal Rashid and his Mayoress wife Aleeza, who both had a go at bell ringing with the team from St Thomas’ Church.
Entertainment on the field included “mad scientist” Professor Seltsam, while local bands provided musical entertainment, with Abba’s Angel’s bringing the curtain down on activities with a sell out show sponsored by FDR Law.
