Police make eight arrests for violent crimes

POLICE have made a total of eight arrests in Warrington today (Sunday) relating to violent crimes, including one incident involving threats to kill at Padgate.

A 28-year-old male was arrested in Valiant Close, Padgate, for assault, affray and making threats to kill.

Meanwhile a 33-year-old man was arrested in Fairfield and Howley for domestic assault.

A 31-year-old male was arrested at Latchford for domestic assault who was also wanted on a court warrant.

At Bewsey a 42-year-old woman was arrested for domestic assault, while in Warrington a 22-year-old man was arrested for assault who was also wanted on a court warrant.

A 42-year-old woman was also arrested in the town centre for assault while a 22-year-old male was arrested in the Penketh area for assault and criminal damage.

Finally a male was arrested for causing criminal damage in a town centre cafe after he was refused service for being intoxicated.
