Warrington Remembers Battle of the Somme 100 years on

A special Service of Remembrance took place at Warrington town hall this morning in memory of all those who died at the Battle of the Somme 100 years ago today.

The Mayor and Mayoress Cllr Faisal and Mrs Aleeza Rashid, were joined by senior council officers and church leaders and representatives of the British Legion and armed forces  for the event.

“They will always be remembered.”
