Shop staff catch suspect thief after chase

A WOMAN suspected of the theft of a large amount of chocolate was detained by staff at Warrington’s Cockhedge shopping centre after a chase on foot.
The offence was alleged to have taken place at Pound World and the suspect was detained near the Asda store.
Police went to the scene and the woman was arrested and taken to the police station for questioning.
It was also alleged the woman had property on her which had been stolen from another store.
