MP reviews security measures following death of Jo Cox

WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones is in the process of reviewing security measures following the tragic death of MP Jo Cox.
She is being advised by Cheshire Police and by Parliament’s security experts.
A spokesman for the MP said: “Since her election in 1997 she has tried to be as accessible as possible,  holding regular surgeries around the Warrington North constituency.
“Venues are currently under review and a further announcement will be made at the end of that review – changes to the 2016 published dates/venues are likely.
“One measure which is being reluctantly introduced is an appointment only system and constituents will not be seen any longer if they just turn up at the surgery location without prior notification.  Appointments can be made by contacting Helen’s constituency office on 01925 232 480 or by e-mailing [email protected]
