WARRINGTON Town Hall will be flying the LGBT rainbow flag half-mast for the rest of this week in tribute to those who lost their lives in the Orlando shooting.

The flag will be flown until Friday as a mark of respect from Warrington Borough Council.

Warrington council leader Terry O’Neill said: “We are shocked and appalled by the awful events in Orlando and wanted to show solidarity, not only with Orlando, but also with LGBT people around the world.”

A vigil was held for those who died in the attack at the Friends Meeting House, Buttermarket Street on Wednesday night.
