POLICE have issued a warning about cold callers touting for work in the Culcheth area of Warrington.
The men are offering to do garden work or carry out roof repairs – and are believed to be targeting elderly people.
Residents are being asked to warn elderly relatives and tell them not to allow any work to be carried out by workmen at short notice.
They are at risk of beinbg grossly overcharged for the work.
Any suspicious activity should be reported to police on 101.
