Take a trip down memory lane at Padgate campus

FORMER students, staff and friends of the Warrington Campus of the University of Chester (Padgate campus) are being invited to dig out their old photos and share their memories at an event to help piece together the Campus’s historical jigsaw.

Organised by the University’s Alumni and Development Office and hosted by former Principal Hilary Tucker, ‘Memory Lane’ will be held on Tuesday, June 28, at 2.30pm in Lance Dobson Hall on the Warrington Campus – which has previously been Padgate Campus, North Cheshire College and Warrington Collegiate.

The event will provide a chance for anyone with a connection to the Campus to get together and share their memories, old photos, leaflets and posters, and reminisce about bygone days.

As well as a screening of Padgate Memories, a film created for the Campus’s 65th Anniversary, there will also be the opportunity to take a look at some of the photographs and artefacts found in the archives and take part in Campus tours.

Fiona Roberts, Alumni and Development Manager at the University said: “Through the generous donation of photographs and artefacts from alumni that we have met over the years, we have uncovered some amazing and inspirational tales which have provided us with a greater insight into life on Campus.

“We are really keen to hear more from the Campus’s former staff and students to help us gain a greater understanding of what life was like at the University (or College) when they worked or studied there. No matter what connection you have with the Campus, we would love to hear from you.”
