Warning to pet owners after dog dies from poisoning

POLICE are warning pet owners in Warrington to be extra vigilant after a dog died from suspected poisoning at Chapelford over the weekend.

The warning sparked reports on social media of numerous incidents of dogs and cats being affected by anti-freeze poisoning which normally proves lethal if not treated promptly by a vet.

The latest incident involved a dog ingesting poison in an enclosed garden at Chapelford.
